ABOUT ME

Come practice with me!

In 1989, I attended my first yoga class and in 1995, began a daily practice. I received my first 200 hour certification in 2004 and started teaching Ashtanga-based Vinyasa Flow classes in San Francisco. Through the years, I have had the privilege of studying both Ashtanga and Iyengar Yoga with Masters who learned directly from the great yogi T. Krishnamacharya (such as KPattabhi Jois and Libbie Mathes as well as more modern teachers of Ashtanga (David Williams, Clayton Horton), Dharma Yoga (Dharma Mittra) and Vinyasa Flow (Rusty Wells).

I was introduced to Yin Yoga and Meditation, taught by Sarah and Ty Powers in 2003, and received certification to teach Insight Yoga from Sarah in 2007. When I added these quiet practices to my Classical, active Yoga repertoire everything shifted. Because of these Yin Yoga and Meditation practices, I have been able to maintain a strong Ashtanga/Vinyasa practice, injury-free (so far), and at the same time have developed the capacity to navigate life's inevitable challenges with greater mental ease, as well as teach others to do the same. (*Everything is a life-long learning and these quiet, meditative practices help develop our ability to "be" with the discomfort which will inevitably arise in all of our lives).

In 2008, through Crunch, my world was literally turned upside down when I was introduced to Christopher Harrison, the "father" of Aerial (Anti-Gravity) Yoga. I started teaching Anti-Gravity Yoga at that point, and since then I have trained over the years directly with Christopher and his team. The aerial yoga practice has brought yet another dimension (of decompression!) to my practice, and to what I offer students, plus it is FUN to cross-train! Aerial Yoga makes Vinyasa practice stronger and vice-versa. You can even practice Aerial Yoga in a restorative, meditative way if you want to calm and rest the mind and body.

After watching a friend heal herself with essential oils, I started adding the element of aromatherapy to my personal practice and classes. Just like yoga, the oils soon became a "way of life". Since then, chemicals and pharmaceuticals have been replaced in my home with essential oils. From alleviating head or neck tension caused by stress, aiding in digestion, assisting in addiction recovery, relieving sore muscles and aiding in sleep - the uses for the oils are endless! Now I offer doTerra Essential Oil Workshops, teaching students how to integrate the "practice" of essential oils into their lives, much like the integration of daily yoga and meditation. Essential oils + yoga practices are connected; both help us integrate our bodies, minds and spirits, connect with others, and aid us in tapping into Universal Energy (Prana, Chi).

The offerings here are for anyone who wishes for tools to navigate life. I come from a very intense, high tech startup recruiting firm and understand what it is like to work at a desk, have a ton of meetings, travel, deadlines and calls. I get what it feels like to be under pressure to perform, and the stress it causes in the body and mind.

Based in Paris, France, with over 20 years of teaching and training experience, I offer both online and in-person Ashtanga-based Vinyasa Yoga, and Aerial Classes + Workshops and RetreatsEssential Oils, Wellness Tips, and opportunities for you to join my wellness team!

Namaste. Welcome.
